Condolences
Chuck and Chris Murphy Friends from Grace Presbyterian Church June 19, 2014

Dear Dean,

Chuck and I have enjoyed getting to know you these past few months. Your stories of Kathy and her courage have been a blesssing to us. Your positive outlook in all of lifes trials has encouraged me to try to be more that way. Kathy was very blessed to have you as her husband and I'm sure she knew that. God bless you as you move on without your precious Kathy. We all have to live now with this big empty hole in our hearts, but I  know God will enable us to do this. See you soon,

Chuck and Chris

Karen K Deepest Condolence July 16, 2013

Kathy had one of the most beautiful souls of anyone I have ever met.  She thought of others alot and tried to do her best to help anyone in need.  She was simply a very kind and loving person.  I know it was hard for her when her dad passed.  She is at peace and with him now.  That ALS took her so fast is just tragic.  She held up to it's ravages with courage and grace.
My deepest condolences to her family.

I felt so privileged to visit Kathy when she was homebound with ALS.  Kathy couldn't speak much yet she communicated beautifully; I learned so much about God's grace and the value of faith in hard times by watching Kathy and Dean.  In the midst of the inexplicable, Kathy and Dean affirmed God's goodness and that was a testimony that will stay with me.  Am so sorry for your loss.  Peace.
Dave Miller Condolence June 28, 2013

Dean,

I was so sorry to hear this sad news. I remember meeting and visiting with Kathy when you first came to Bradley. I think it was at one of the Fall Picnics. My impression of her was that she was a smart, warm and caring person. How fortunate you were to have been a part of her life! Always keep good memories of her close, so that when you think of her you will smile!

It has been a privilage to have had the chance to get to know both you and Kathy.  Our lives crossed paths in August when there was a need to call Circle of Life Homecare (now renamed Alpha-Care). With the Lord's help, I came to assist in whatever way I could. I was welcomed into your home each Tuesday and Thursday both with a big Kathy smile and you leading in prayer.  A great testimony of faithfulness to our Lord and Savior. Strength was given to us as we walked this path.  I witnessed the love you had for each other and the love towards our heavenly Father.  Kathy is very much missed by those who were touched by her life.  We can take comfort in knowing we will see her again and give her a big hug. (John 11:25)  Prayers continue for you and for all of the friends and family.

Your friend and sister in Christ,
Joanne

Dean,
Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. Sanjay and I remember many wonderful great times together. The many pizza nights, walks on Grandview Drive, and just talks that we had together were really nice! Kathy was always really patient and kind ecspecially when bringing our three children at that time into your home. I remember her big smile when she would tell me that the children were alright even though I knew that Canon was doing something mischevious. Kathy really loved children and they knew it! Kathy was truly a great friend! When you were talking to Kathy, she always listened to you intently. She truly had a heart of gold! I knew this as her friend because she had a wonderful personal relationship with our LORD JESUS CHRIST and wasn't afraid to share that with you! She will be greatly missed! We love you two always!!!
                                                                      Forever Friends,
Sanjay, Christina, Canon, Jessica, Jaclyn, and Caleb

Dean,

I do not know what to say about Kathy’s passing. I am deeply sorry not to offer even a single comforting word to you while you were struggling to take care of her. I remember Kathy was a pleasant lady to chat with. Be happy on that she is now in God’s good care. She will be missed dearly.
